This product should be used in your startup program when filling your new pool or refilling with fresh water at any time. The following steps will precondition your pool water properly for a chlorine feeding
program.

1.  Super chlorinate pool water by adding a EPA registered chlorinating product as prescribed on
   labels.
2. Bring pH of pool water to range of 7.2 to 7.6 on your test kit.
3. Add this product to skimmer. Make sure filter is clean with full pressure drop, and recirculate water continuously for 24 hours to dissolve properly.
4. Add this product at the rate of 1 pound for each 4,000 gallons of pool water to provide 30 ppm of iso cyanuric acid. Maintain an iso cyanuric acid level of 30 to 50 ppm using a suitable test kit.
5. If EPA registered chlorine products with a “built-in” stabilizer are used with this product, then maintain a minimum of 1.5 ppm available chlorine residual. Otherwise, maintain an available chlorine
   residual of 1.0 to 1.5 ppm.
6. Start regular chlorine feeding program with an EPA registered granular chlorine or tablet chlorine as prescribed on label.
